Totally agree, that pork mince mixture is super versatile. Fried rice, noodles, or inside a bao-style flatbread. Glad to hear it’s a keeper!

Hi Wei,
Tonight’s foray into Sichuan cooking was these Lettuce wraps. Wow! The Pork mince mixture is amazing. Lots of assertive yet balanced flavours along with the textural elements from the (crispy) Lettuce leaves, Celery and (soft) Shiitake.
I think this would be good as a fried rice addition, with Noodles or in a flatbread.
Will definitely cook again.

Prefect for summer appetizer, or main dish for two with rice or needles. Beautiful served on a hearts of Romain lettuce leaves. Fast and easy but you must have the schezuan pepper corn and Dou ban jan. That is what its all about.

To make it non-spicy, you can replace Sichuan chili bean paste with a bean-based, fermented sauce, such as Chinese yellow bean sauce, Japanese miso, Korean doenjang, etc.
