Thankyou very VERY much. Two very satisfied bellies here! It was nothing like the gravy style takeaway that I’m used to. The flavours really shine and it’s amazingly flavourful with so few ingredients. So quick to both cook and prepare and eaten even quicker!

This was wonderful! Spatchcocking the chicken was something totally new to me and it was so simple to do. From here on out this will definitely be my first choice in preparing a whole bird. It seems the marinade might not have been fully absorbed by the chicken. Ensure that the cornstarch and water is well rubbed into the chicken, so it adheres properly. Also, make sure your wok/pan is sufficiently hot before adding the chicken to help it brown without sticking. Hope this helps!

The chicken didn’t brown and the cornflour nearly burned. How do you stop that happening?
