Thanks for trying the recipe! Sichuan peppercorns can definitely be a bit intense if you bite into them. Typically, people use chopsticks to pick up just the chicken, scallions, and peanuts, being careful to leave the peppercorns behind. It takes a bit of practice, but it gets easier once you’re used to spotting them.

In th UK we can but something called prickly oil which is oil infused with sichuan peppercorns….just add a few drops at the end
