Thank you Wei!
The garlic sprouts worked out great and the mild flavor gives a nice mellow flavor boost to the creamy omlette.
Easy and tasty!

That’s great to hear, Michael! Once the sprouts grow, the garlic cloves are no longer usable, so just harvest the greens. You can trim them, and they’ll keep growing for a bit. Enjoy the omelette!

We grow garlic in the garden, but growing sprouts is a new technique to us. Could you share a bit more information on harvesting the sprouts?
If we trim the greens, do they continue growing?
Should we pull plan on pulling both the bulbs and green for cooking?
Thank you!

Garlic sprout and Chinese chives are totally different things. The former is called 蒜苗 or 青蒜, and the latter is 韭菜 in Chinese.

I was just planting them out in the garden. I can’t wait for them to grow bigger now. They will look lovely in a little ceramic saucer that I have .

That’s great news! Home grown herbs are so handy to have. Good luck on the green onions!
