In reply to Mary. You can skip Shaoxing rice wine in most recipes if only a small amount is required (like in this one). Otherwise, you can substitute it with dry sherry if available.

This is a great recipe! I used tapioca starch instead of corn starch and it worked well.

I told myself to never use that greeting. But your site is the highway to scruptious food! I cooked Pan fried tofu with garĺìc sauce last night. Ìt was spectacular! I will that sauce as a “sweet and sour” on other dishes!
